Cicerones de Buenos Aires (CBA) gives Buenos Aires lovers
the chance to meet people from all around the world and to
show them the beauty of our city according to their own taste.
CBA is a non-profit organization that allows the volunteer
work of Buenos Aires connoisseurs who feel proud of their
city.
The enormous diversity of places of art and culture, historic,
typical and not well known, makes difficult and even intimidate
the approach for visitors. The Cicerones offer their
knowledge to the visitors and thereby allow them to feel comfortable,
safe and thankful for the received services.
We will welcome all connoisseurs of tango sites, art, culture,
sport clubs and places of interest that they consider would
be attractive to visitors.
Knowing of languages benefits the communication with the
visitors and allows improving the warmth of the contact, applicants
who manage a second language will be appreciated.
Those people who believe our job important and want to help
us in the organization of our services have also the chance
to do it from our office. Each volunteer will fix the job
and time to be engaged.
Now, besides CICERONES, we need the following collaborators:
- Press agent, in charge of writing and publishing CBA material.
- Assistant of relations with the community, helps in the
insertion of CBA in our environmental.
- Assistant for information, answers visitors requests.
- Assistant of the Volunteers Manager, helps in the assignment
of the Cicerones.
- Administration assitant, collaborates in administration
jobs.

What is a "Cicerone de Buenos Aires"?
CBA is a non-profit organization which offers Cicerones
to Buenos Aires visitors' for their walks through our vast
and multi-faceted city.
In that way the "porteños" (Buenos Aires
citizens) could participate and contribute with our knowledge
and in different ways to improve the image of our city.
Cicerones
As the "friends" we expect to be, the Cicerones
give their non-professional guide services, free for the visitors,
showing them quarters, places, buildings, parks, etc.
The visits, of up to three hours of duration, are on foot
or by public transportation in groups of up to six people
through areas the Cicerones know and are proud to show or
places of interest to the visitors.
Terms
To be a Cicenone is essential to enjoy dealing with people
and appreciateing community work.
It's necessary to have good knowledge of any quarter or attraction
of Buenos Aires and to be enthusiastic about showing it. Correct
managing of a foreign language would be also important.
Availability
The Cicerones must have at least one day a month for
the three hours that the visit needs. Besides they must be
available to take a period of training for this job and become
familiar with the goals and propositions of CBA.
